Hi Delicious-
I've been a little remiss in not including my review of this great Cincinnati restaurant when I mentioned my birthday. Technically I went the night before my birthday and was taken there as a surprise by J who's pretty good about finding new restaurants.
The name really says it all as Primavista sits just north of the city on Price Hill overlooking the buildings and lights. It's not in a great neighborhood and is a little off the beaten path but the ambiance was great, and we happened in on Wine Down Thursday when a selection of their wines are up to 40% off the bottle. Nice. The servers were very knowledgable and friendly and the food was mostly traditional Italian fare. We both got the yummiest appetizers (Mozzarella con Pomodoro and Ravioli con Pesto alle Noce) and started on our Petite Sirah. By the time our entrees came we were both already full on those and the bread with fresh roasted garlic spread but we managed to do a pretty good job on our Penne alla Cionni and Pollo con Carciofi e Pancetta (I'll let you guess which of us got the chicken!). They even brought me a lovely spumoni dish with a candle in it for my celebration. As if the great view, good service and yummy food weren't enough...all of this only cost us $80!!! Not a bad night out at a new place! And now I'm very hungry...
